Brushing holds is an important community-driven aspect of climbing. After every reset, we strip and clean all the holds so they’re ready for the next time they’re used. However, as problems spend time on the wall, they gather chalk and can start to feel slippery. Brushing holds, with either your own brush or one of the ones we provide around the centre, can increase grip and improve your bouldering experience. Leaving holds as you found them or in a cleaner state ensures the best experience for everyone who come to see us!
Only if they’re aged between 14-17 and have completed the junior sign-off.
To complete a junior sign-off a parent or legal guardian must be present in the building whilst an assessment takes place.
If you are on an instructed session (e.g., little brushes or brush heads), you are welcome to leave once the child is with the instructor and return before the session finishes for the handover.
